August 2013 - Our school library was awarded a collection of big books, puppets and other educational tools to make story time magical, based on a grant we wrote. ($618.00)

June 2013 - Our library was given 100 books
April 2013 - Our library was awarded over 400 hundred books for our collection. We are so appreciative of The Center for Fiction's continued support of our school library! |

May 2013 - Our school library was given 70 high interest books to add to our collection, based on a grant we wrote. ($501.25)

June 2012 - Our school library was selected out of thousands to be part of a pilot program that connects our library with the New York Public Library. Our catalogs are now linked and all our teachers are provided with educator cards that provide on site delivery of books and resources for all our students.

August 2011 - Target awarded our library $2,000 We were able to get two new spinning bookcases and seventy-five new library books to support our youngest readers

Scholastic Book Fairs
Our book fairs have placed 9,134 books into our students' hands. In addition we have earned the following profits that allowed us to purchase much needed resources for both our classroom collections and our library collection, and even a rug for our story time area!

Queens Library
April 2013 - Our library supported our eighth grade book drive and fundraiser. In addition our students collected three hundred books to give to four Hurricane Sandy effected Queens Library branches.
